What the hell is a Greek guy doing in Belgium? No, he’s not here just for waffles or beer.

Thanasis is here to shoot films. Though yes, some of them might very well feature waffles, fries, chocolate or beers. He has directed over 200 commercials for brands including Google, L’Oréal, McDonald’s, Samsung and Nestlé, across visual comedy, beauty, and food films that actually make you hungry.

Now based in Brussels, Thanasis is a film director with over a decade of experience, moving between cinematic storytelling and sharp commercial craft. His work has been featured on Vimeo Staff Picks, NOWNESS and The New Yorker, while his short film Escaping the Fragile Planet screened at more than 50 festivals worldwide. In 2024, he graduated with high honors from LUCA School of Arts, with his graduation film Simon at the Nightshop selected for Kortfilmfestival Leuven.
